He made the film?and hand-made the camera

The much-talked-about indie film "Bellflower" was shot with hand-made cameras built exclusively for the film. Most notably this Coatwolf Model II Ultra Large Format.To create his feature film "Bellflower," Evan Glodell invented his own camera, the Coatwolf Model II.
